GEM STAFF

I am eager to introduce you to my GEM partners in ministry, or partners in crime!!
From left to right:
Cec: Carolyn Elizabeth Carlson has returned to GEM as a full-time worker. She was previously employed as a graphic designer and prior to that worked at GEM headquarters in the recruitment department. She is a woman of prayer, keen insight, and my roommate! She humors me by singing "I'm Free" when asked, even on a crowded bus!
Kris: Kris is also a full-time worker with GEM. She graduated with an accounting degree and also pursued her MBA. She has come on as an administrative assistant to Ron Landers and his ministry in Portugal. She is quick to offer assistance and information and other than Ron, has the best grasp on Portuguese than the rest of us! I credit her for showing me the best pastry cafe in town which has been in business since 1837!
Lisa: I have recently joined GEM here in Portugal for an initial one year internship. After five years of teaching middle school, I packed up and headed to Portugal to work with GEM's international student ministry. I am excited to get started with my language study and try my hand at Portuguese. I'm curious as to what God has in store for this year as He is already teaching me much!
Ron: Ron has been with GEM for 10 years and in Portugal for 12. His wife, Linda, and two teenage daughters are very involved in the ministry and are involved in much of what we do. Ron has a heart to share Jesus with international university students and also to equip future missionaries with the tools needed to serve on the field.
Heidi: Heidi is also part of the one year internship program with GEM. She graduated from Moody with a degree in Bible Theology. One of her ministry desires is to see people grow in their knowledge and love for Christ. We share a room together in our home and have already shared many late night moments of laughter, especially when my dog jaw acts up.
Bobb & Bri: Bobb & Bri have recently joined GEM as full time workers and are spending this year getting added training before being assigned another country in Europe. Bobb's degree is in Pastoral Studies while Bri graduated with a degree in TESL from Moody Bible Institute.
Terence: Terence, a fellow Californian, is in Portugal for a year of additional training before committing to full time ministry in Romania. He desires to work with an orphanage and develop their youth programs. He has a servant's heart and loves the ocean so he is at home here in Lisbon with the beach only a 20 minute drive!
